The Code: an analytical approach

Sign Language interpreters make crucial decisions all the time. We are in the business of facilitating the most personal and private communications. Using the RID/NAD Code of Professional conduct, as a guide, we navigate through some of the most difficult judgment calls.

“The Code: an analytical approach” is a five-week course involving video lectures and activities you do in your own home or work space.

This course will assist you in defining your own ethics and how you would respond to specific scenarios. If you are looking for the magic formula of what you should or should not do, this is not the course for you. This course is about teaching us how to fish rather than just throwing us a fish.
